Gameplay

  • Updated Cufflink Combos. Try comboing an uppercut into a spike or a kick.

  • Updated how the spike (“Meteor Cufflink”) calculates whether or not it hits an enemy. It should feel much more natural using it now.

  • 2 new achievements!

  • Updated system how attacks calculate whether they hit or not depending on their height compared to the target’s height.

  • Money now has an infinite pickup range.

  • Telephones now remove any burning or needle based debuffs.

  • There was a group of traffic cones on the main diagonal street that dropped two items. That was an oversight and one of the items has been moved to a different nearby group of traffic cones.

  • A certain potion vendor now instantly wakes up when a certain creature is close. In addition, refusing the offer is now pointless.

  • New NPC appears in a secret area when a certain condition is met.

  • After defeating the final boss, there is now a new note that can be read back at the station.

Balance

  • SPLOZO explosions do a lot more stun damage now.

  • Made the hitbox that thrown items use to detect a hit bigger.

  • In the final boss’ final phase, he now will jump up to the rafters every 30 seconds guaranteed (giving you more chances to breathe).

  • Parrying certain high power attacks no longer stuns enemies but instead applies 0.5 sec of hitstun.

Sounds

  • When you’re about to get stunned a heartbeat sound now plays.

  • Randomized the pitches of many different sounds which tend to play multiple times at once (eg 5 traffic cones being bounced at once).

  • Slightly updated the phone ringing sound for those who are averse to it.

Visuals

  • When an enemy or Tino is stunned for more than 1 sec, the spinning dizzy sprite will show multiple times per extra second (up to 3).

  • Added a bit of color to the entrance stairs to 61st St Station to help catch the eye more. There’s also a new loot box there to entice you in that direction.

  • Added parallax on the overhead objects in the Branzino Cellar rooms.

  • Updated the parallax on clouds to be based on camera position.

  • The bricks from the miniboss encounter no appear above you.

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where pausing and exiting the game while in the air falling right after a room transition, Tino would spawn in out of bounds and your save file would essentially be locked out. The solution is that you now cannot pause during this specific scenario. I had previously mentioned that this was fixed in the last patch, but I had accidentally left the code for the fix commented out.

  • Fixed a bug preventing cargoyles from taking damage when crashing into solid objects at high speeds.

  • Fixed a bug that was often preventing cars from blowing up when a cargoyle crashes into them.

  • Fixed a bug where throwing an item at certain diagonal walls would get it stuck inside the wall.

  • Fixed a bug where picking up a tutorial note didn’t trigger the achievement check.

  • The dialogue for a certain phone call only happens once now.

  • Fixed a bug where when holding something, there was a scenario where you would stop holding it but remained in the holding state.

  • Fixed a few areas where it was possible to get out of bounds using the spike cufflink.
