Apologies for the delay in updates / solving bugs. A great deal of effort when into creating the versus mode which was showcased at PlayNYC. If you missed the stream, there will be a video of the game mode uploaded to Youtube sometime in the future!

Gameplay

  • Added a visual guide to help players understand how healing/energy works.

Balance

  • The cufflink combos are now much easier to pull off. Previously they would miss if the enemy was too high up in the air.

  • On easy mode, the window to perform a “strong punch” is now much longer (from about 16 frames to 50 frames).

  • On easy mode, the window to perform a parry is now much longer (from about 12 frames to 30 frames).

Visuals

  • The overhead parallax in the dungeon rooms now is more pronounced and also now includes the light rays shining in through the windows.

Sound

  • New audio cues added to represent the yellow and red timing sparks. The yellow one is a short breath out while the red on is a short inhale.

  • New sound added to indicate the stun effect.

Bugs

  • Fixed a crash when throwing a baseball bat or splozo at the miniboss (and other similar scenarios).

  • Fixed a bug where if directly above an enemy, the controller aim assist would not hit the target correctly.

  • Fixed bug where changing the keyboard mappings for block, crouch, and parry did not work.

  • Fixed a bug where mapping anything other than “Punch” to left click would cause all keyboard keys to also perform that action.

  • Fixed bug where controller rumble only worked on controller input 0.

  • Fixed bug where the controller deadzone was only being set for controller input 0.

  • Fixed a bug where sometimes Tino would not be able to move.

  • Fixed a bug where the final boss could be stunned during a phase transition via fire damage, interrupting it and breaking the fight.

  • Bug reports are now automatically sent to the discord server.
