Repeated intro

Hello everyone,

What changed

0 fixes0 additions4 changes0 removals
  • UI and audio
  • Maps
changedThe GoalThis demo should contain almost all the elements that a battle in the final game will have. A sort of vertical slice, if you will. The project will therefore be reworked in all its aspects, i.e., the visuals, artificial intelligence, units, terrain, mechanics, audio, etc.
changedCollaborationsReasonably, since I can't do it alone due to lack of time and expertise, I'm using subcontractors. I'm therefore fortunate to collaborate with a historian who conducts historical research, as well as an audio artist. Their work takes the project to another level and allows me to focus on what I do best, and marketing.
changedAnd now?I'm currently reworking the battle's terrain; some aspects weren't exactly historically accurate. In the coming weeks, I'll keep you updated on the various developments; things should move forward quickly, at least, I'm working on it!

It's been a while since I've given any updates, so it's now time I shared my current goals with you.

The Goal

The goal is clear: to have a demo available on Steam in the next year.

This demo should contain almost all the elements that a battle in the final game will have. A sort of vertical slice, if you will. The project will therefore be reworked in all its aspects, i.e., the visuals, artificial intelligence, units, terrain, mechanics, audio, etc.

Collaborations

Reasonably, since I can't do it alone due to lack of time and expertise, I'm using subcontractors. I'm therefore fortunate to collaborate with a historian who conducts historical research, as well as an audio artist. Their work takes the project to another level and allows me to focus on what I do best, and marketing.

The Battle

Initially, I had in mind to recreate the Battle of Quebec in the demo. After many discussions with mentors and friends, I finally opted for the Battle of Rivoli. A more famous battle, fought by Napoleon during the war of the First Coalition. It's actually this one that appears in my prototype currently available on Itch.io. This doesn't mean, however, that I'm abandoning the idea of creating the Battle of Quebec, far from it. It's simply that the Battle of Rivoli resonates with more players.

And now?

I'm currently reworking the battle's terrain; some aspects weren't exactly historically accurate. In the coming weeks, I'll keep you updated on the various developments; things should move forward quickly, at least, I'm working on it!

Take care!
