What's new:
Fighters Unit:
This light infantry unit is born! In addition to being faster and more maneuverable than a standard infantry unit, it has the special ability to become stealthy. This allows h to suffer few losses while ravaging the enemy. Their small number and lack of melee expertise makes them vulnerable to enemy cavalry units.
Infantry Line Formation:
Infantry units are now able to form a line. By doing so, it increases its number of shooters and therefore also increases its effectiveness. Be careful, the more shooters there are, the faster the ammunition stock runs out. On the other hand, this formation greatly reduces the unit's movement speed and weakens it in the event of a cavalry attack. There is also a formation delay to take into consideration.
Infantry Square Formation:
Infantry units can also form the infantry square. After a formation delay, the unit finds itself in a good position to face enemy cavalry charges. However, it becomes easy prey for enemy artillerymen. This formation also allows the unit to shoot at several targets at the same time, since it faces all sides.
Analysis Scene:
A new scene appears in this version. It allows the player to analyze the terrain and the positioning of allied and enemy units before the start of the battle. Eventually, this is where the player will be able to learn about the context and the point of view of the different nations involved in the battle.
Improved points in this version:
The soldier who dies is now chosen randomly.
Optimized the movement system of soldiers in a unit.
The "halt" order is now always possible if at least one order is in execution.
Corrected bugs:
The tooltip of the army preview UI was not updating if the special button of a unit header was used.
Some attacks ordered outside the range were not triggered.
The visual of the type of the AI staff unit was not visible.
