Apocalypse: The Hunger changes
We are incredibly excited to deploy v1.2.0: The Grid Expansion —a major free update to the base game! This update introduces a brand-new layer of tactical risk and reward to the Geo-Network in the form of the Cyber-Dimension Grid.
Are you ready to overclock your neural pathways and step into the wireframe? Here is everything you need to know about the latest anomaly to hit the system.
⚡ Entering the Grid: Procedural Neon Gateways
As you explore the procedurally generated sectors of the Geo-Network, your mini-map and long-range sensors will now pick up signature readings from Neon Dimension Gateways.
Procedural Anomalies: These green portals are randomly scattered across the ground coordinates of every zone.
Seamless Shifting: Simply step onto a Gateway to breach the dimensional barrier and enter the Grid. Need to cool your systems down? Step back onto a Gateway at any time to safely exit back to normal space.
The Visual Shift: You'll know immediately when you have entered the Grid. The interface shifts into an ultra-sleek, saturated cybernetic scanline feed, bathing the zone in deep neon hues and drawing micro-wireframes over every wall, resource node, and unit.
🔥 Overclocked Combat: The 50% Crit Multiplier Rule
The Cyber-Dimension isn't just a visual upgrade—it fundamentally alters the physics of combat. While inside the Grid, all units experience a massive feedback loop:
Overclocked Output: Players gain a passive +50% Critical Multiplier bonus (+0.5x), allowing your deck's damage cards to hit with devastating force. You can verify this stat boost directly on your character sheet while standing in the Grid.
Double-Edged Sword: The Grid does not play favorites. All enemy units encountered inside the Grid are supercharged with the exact same +50% Critical Multiplier. Engaging a Hostile, Apex, or Guardian in this space is a lethal gamble—one lucky draw from their AI deck could completely crash your system.
🎨 New Visual Tech: Dynamic Grid Armor & Wireframe Backgrounds
To reflect the power of the Cyber-Dimension, we've overhauled the visual presentation of Grid-based combat:
Wireframe Ante Screen: When resolving your ante bids within the Grid, the background shifts into an active, retro-tech wireframe schematic that pulses dynamically with digital energy.
Adaptive Grid Armor: Enemies encountered in the Grid are wrapped in dynamic, color-coded holographic "Grid Armor". This armor isn't just green—it shifts dynamically to match the exact tier of the enemy unit:
Default / Common: Golden-Yellow Grid Aura
Hunter / Uncommon: Aggressive Crimson-Red Grid Aura
Apex / Rare: Pulsing Violet-Purple Grid Aura
Champions / Bosses: Sleek Platinum-Grey and White High-Hz Grid Overlays
🛠️ Full Patch Notes v1.2.0
[NEW] Dimension Gateways: Neon portal nodes now spawn randomly on vacant tiles across all procedural sectors.
[NEW] Overclock Buff: Entering the Grid applies +50% Crit Multiplier to both players and active enemies. Stat buffs are cleanly stripped from the player's Character Sheet upon exit.
[NEW] Grid Armor Aesthetics: Enemies engaged in the Grid render with holographic wireframe overlays and custom-hued particle bloom containers matching their specific threat class.
[NEW] Wireframe Ante Screen: Ambient grid backdrop rendering implemented for all combat preparation phases.
Step into the gateways, watch your backs, and don't let the security protocols catch you off-guard. We'll be monitoring the live build closely—please share your deep grid runs and feedback in the discussion forums!
