Apocalypse: The Hunger - Patch 1.1.4: System Stability & Exploit Fixes
Hey Runners,
Patch 1.1.4 is now live! This is a targeted hotfix addressing a few critical issues you've reported over the last 48 hours, specifically regarding UI glitches and a rather nasty economy exploit.
(Note: All of the updates and fixes in this patch have been deployed to both the full Base Game and the Demo build!)
We appreciate the rapid feedback on the forums—it helps us keep the Grid clean.
Here’s what’s changed in this build:
Bug Fixes & System Updates:
Fixed: The Invisible Combat Log
Resolved an issue where loading a saved game directly from the Main Menu would cause the Combat Log to vanish behind the main UI overlay. The log now correctly initializes its display state on a quick-load.
Fixed: The "Infinite Sell" Exploit (Item Duplication)
We’ve patched a core flaw in how the engine handles Unique Identifiers (UIDs) for generated loot. Previously, JavaScript's large number precision rounding was causing the system to lose track of specific items when comparing UIDs.
This bug allowed players to infinitely sell items to Merchants without them leaving their inventory, and also allowed duplicating items via the Equipment drag-and-drop system.
UIDs are now generated and checked using a strict, alphanumeric string format, completely eliminating the duplication glitch.
Retroactive Save Patching:
Don't worry about your current saves! We’ve added a retroactive patch to the load sequence. Any legacy integer UIDs in your existing save files will automatically be converted to the new string format when you boot up the game. You won't lose your gear, and you won't be locked out of selling your old items.
Thanks for your patience as we ironed these out. Keep exploring, keep surviving, and we'll see you in the Metropolis.
