Demo 4 ends now, time for the Demo 5 roadmap. Many of you have generously invested time in improving the game through bug reports and feedback on Discord and Steam, thanks a lot!
Stability & Bug Extermination
Demo V4 significantly shook the simulation, but the next round (Demo 5) will introduce fewer bold changes to the core systems, allowing things to settle for a while, at least until the next bugpocalypse ☢️
Colonization and AI (Outposts)
Colonization decisions and AI missions for outposts.
Improved outpost build order logic.
Smoother outpost creation flow for the player, with a tutorial covering outpost creation and management.
Note: Outposts in Antimatter are proto-colonies. They host industrial facilities and a population considered as employees. These employees require wages but satisfy their needs independently. All industries in an outpost are owned by the founding organisation, and production goes directly into its inventory (In colonies, production is first handled by wholesalers)
Passenger Transport & Migrations
Interplanetary migrations will be enabled in this version. In addition to goods transport, you will also see transport ships carrying colonists and, eventually, tourists.
Improved Accrete Model
Improved ringed-planet simulation.
Planetary geology (radiogenic, resonance, primordial), plus volcanic and magnetic activity.
Late asteroid bombardment.
Terraformation
(Terraformation was disabled for Demo 4)
Improved terraformation UI, allowing you to see predicted effects on the atmosphere and the planet’s surface
Rebalanced outpost modules (used to produce terraforming capacity to change atmospheric composition and control biosphere)
Mining & Ore
Increased scarcity and greater variation of ores based on planetary geologic history.
Ore depletion with surface vs deep mining: a sharp distinction between easily accessible but limited surface deposits, and effectively infinite deep deposits that become increasingly difficult to exploit
Improved UI for player mining actions
Improved UI for mining industry production lines
Improved Planet Look & Features
Improved relief tiles
Volcano tiles
Improved visuals for cities, development, and roads
Visual representation of ore presence
More tiles and textures for biomes
Impact crater visuals and representation
Specimen System (New Feature)
A specimen is a codex/tech entry indicating that a lifeform has been fully studied. A specimen must be studied before it can be used as a “recipe” in industry and agriculture. It is also required for lifeform introduction during terraformation. A specimen can only be studied if local habitability is very high. You will need to find the right planet and the right region to carry out this study.
Improved Planisphere UI
Quality-of-life improvements, better feedback, and increased stability
