Scenario Editor Overhauls

Improved Customization

Vastly enhanced customization for world “presets” aka scenarios, including the ability to generate/regenerate images for each entity, as well as pre-populate entities, locations and regions via the map editor

Map Editor Overhaul

Added options to generate new world polygons as procedural (original), hexagonal, or blank slate Added free-form polygon tool for users to draw custom maps from scratch

Character Import/Export

Added option to export an in-game character or the current character in scenario editor, as well as import it as an NPC in an existing game or into the scenario editor

Community

Added option to share scenarios/characters with the community and download others’ scenarios/characters

Multiplayer

Added multiplayer functionality to the game. To play, navigate to the multiplayer tab icon and toggle on “Enable multiplayer” and “Allow friends to join”, then send your Steam friends an invite. All text and media generation will go through the host’s computer.

In a new game lobby, friends can view current world details and generate/edit their own character details before the host starts the game.

In a loaded existing game, friends may join the game by taking over an existing playable character in the game or importing their own character. If rejoining a previous game, this will default to the previous character they controlled.

In multiplayer, only immersive level scaling and unified game master mode are supported.

This multiplayer mode features simultaneous turns in which anyone can go on any given turn. Players who prefer a turn-based system can self-enforce by having one player go per turn. The host may force the turn to proceed at any time.

Misc

  • Relegated status bar critical events to a new option defaulting to false, because for many people including myself it was more annoying than useful. Existing status bars are unaffected and future critical events can still be generated if toggling it on.

  • Reversed region merge order to make it more intuitive

  • Enabled splitting/merging empty polygons without assigned regions

  • Fixed error message for unreplaced variable sometimes referencing the wrong part of the string

  • Fixed prompt for non-story crafting plausibility to be tolerant when player input was an instruction rather than item name

  • Slightly improved datetime parsing for calendar events

  • Added support for editing player’s own input in bottom-right view for Unified mode

  • Added delete region functionality

  • Added swap region tool in region editor

  • Overhauled skills to be per-character instead of heavily biased towards a global list

  • Added Kobold API JSON fields override options

  • Fixed saves that were broken by “misc” equipment bug

  • Fixed ComfyUI not working when target directory had a subfolder

  • Fixed required items/abilities not being chosen in Specialized mode
