Afterdepth — Update 0.1.3
Thanks for playing. This update adds more ways to grow your loadout, tightens the refinery and breathing gear, and fixes a few annoying inventory bugs. Steam post image
What’s new
Bigger quick-use bar — Your hotbar can grow from 4 slots up to 8. Craft carry bags at the crafting table, then use each bag in order to unlock the next slot. Your progress is saved.
Refinery upgrades — The refinery can be upgraded for more processing power. There’s a fuel system, a clearer layout that changes with your upgrade level, and small visual touches (fire and light while it’s running).
Better oxygen tanks — New tank tiers with longer use time, available through crafting. Descriptions are clearer about how long each tank lasts.
Easier item moves — Move items one at a time or everything at once between your bar, storage, and refinery where the game allows it.
Drop items on the ground — Hold the use item control to throw away the whole stack from the slot you have selected. Picked-up drops keep the right amount; dropped items disappear after a while, with a short warning blink at the end.
Clearer hotbar — The bar looks sharper, slots read better side by side, and the selected slot shows the item name so you’re never guessing.
More to find in the world — Extra scrap spots to support new recipes and crafting.
Languages — New and changed text is updated across the supported locales.
World pickups — You can now collect the lantern placed in the environment; grab it in the world and use it as a wall-mounted light source.
Fixes & stability
Using a consumable from one hotbar slot no longer eats from a different stack of the same item on another slot.
Small UI and flow fixes around oxygen, prompts, and dialogue where things could feel inconsistent.
If you spot a bug or have an idea, we’re listening. See you underground.
