It wraps around corners, rests on platforms, and reacts to what you pull. I had to carefully balance how much the rope “pushes into” blocks — before it was unstable and could snap or behave unpredictably. Now it feels reliable.

🔧 Full Description (Steam)

The grappling hook has been reworked from the ground up: the rope now uses real physics and collides with the terrain. It wraps around corners, rests on platforms, and reacts to what you pull. I had to carefully balance how much the rope “pushes into” blocks — before it was unstable and could snap or behave unpredictably. Now it feels reliable.

While climbing the rope, you can jump at any time (the hook instantly retracts), and climb onto platforms using Q without extra input tricks.

In the terminal, after progressing the story, you unlock a mini map to help find ores and things hidden in the dark. The signal range is limited — this is a first version, and the plan is to expand it in future updates.

The inventory now has full mouse support: click, drag and drop, clearer transfers between panels, and a big UX improvement when organizing items. It’s worth trying this together with the new hook and opening the terminal to check the map.

🖱️ Mouse Support

This game was originally designed for console, gamepad, and keyboard — the mouse was never part of the initial design.

At one point, I even considered removing mouse support entirely.

After community feedback, clear patterns started to show: many players naturally tried standard PC interactions (like using ESC to close windows) — which makes perfect sense on PC, but conflicts with gamepad logic (where the same menu button ends up closing UI panels). This kind of mismatch created constant friction.

Instead of forcing everyone into the gameplay style I originally had in mind, it made more sense to let you play the way you prefer.

With this update, the mouse is no longer a “half-supported” input — it’s now a fully supported way to play: mouse aiming for the hook, drag-and-drop inventory, and a more consistent UI flow overall.

The original idea was a simple, contained game — but the project grew beyond that. Still, the goal remains the same: a clear and enjoyable experience, not a frustrating one.

Thank you to everyone who stuck around this far. The game is still far from perfect, but it’s improving step by step.

I’ll keep releasing updates regularly — right now the focus is on onboarding and early game experience, and later on I want to expand the story further. Steam post image

🧪 What’s New (worth testing)

  • Mouse inventory: left click moves full stacks; right click moves a single item. Visual highlight on hover.

  • Item descriptions: name and description on hover (with option to toggle long descriptions in settings).

  • Drag & drop: move stacks between hotbar, storage, refinery, and other compatible panels with visual preview.

  • Stack swapping: swap items between slots (with system-specific rules, like refinery restrictions).

  • Drop items into the world: drag outside the UI to drop items on the ground.

  • Error feedback: sound and message when an action fails.

  • Grappling hook — aiming: shows direction, range, and arc trajectory (including drop).

  • Hook & ropemore stable around corners and platforms, better alignment, jump while on rope instantly retracts the hook, and climbing with Q is integrated into the new system.
