First chunky update since Beta 1! Here's what's new:

Heavy weapons finally feel heavy

This was bothering me for a while. Swinging a massive two-hander and having it just... tap a single tile felt wrong. Heavy weapons now attack in area and slam patterns. Wide swings, ground pounds, the kind of thing that should make you feel powerful and also a little reckless.

There's someone new there

Some new strangers, and unsavoury characters have shown up. They might be worth talking to.

The UI got a lot of attention

A few things that have been quietly frustrating got fixed in this update:

The Status screen was redesigned, is not quite there yet but now it actually tells you clearly what's affecting you.

Tooltips landed across the board adding some additional context to the items or enemies you find through the world.

Small things that add up

Cured meat stacks as a single type instead of clogging up your inventory, memories list sorts alphabetically by default, steam deck control improvements, ... a bunch of quality of life improvements here and there.
