Acatalepsy changes
ADDED THE UNSTABLE BRANCH
This update was published only on the unstable branch. To access it, right-click Acatalepsy in your library, click on properties, then "Game Versions and Betas", then "Unstable".
Due to a recent account change of mine, Steam won't let me make changes to the default branch of Acatalepsy for 72 hours, so for now, I've created an Unstable branch. Thanks, Steam.
Today's hotfix brings several fixes to replication in multiplayer, as well as an old task generation bug.
TASKS
Attempt at fixing tasks having an extremely small chance of spawning on top of each other, making them difficult or impossible to interact with.
MULTIPLAYER
Attempt to fix inconsistencies with the lever task not completing or giving credits in multiplayer.
Attempt to fix inconsistencies with the battery task not completing or giving credits in multiplayer.
Attempt to fix inconsistencies with the crank task not completing or giving credits in multiplayer.
Attempt to fix improper credit applications and inconsistencies across all tasks for clients.
Attempt to fix the modifier wheel, which sometimes displayed incorrect modifiers or permanence status in multiplayer.
Attempt to fix the entry lift not moving for clients in rare cases.
Attempt to fix a bug causing all lights to be present on the level "Parking" on clients, ignoring all light percentage multipliers.
Attempt to fix the incorrect name displayed on the player's escaped screen in multiplayer.
Temporarily removed the "Spectating" widget that appears in the top left when actively spectating.
Multiplayer is still relatively unstable, but I will continue to push updates to make it better as time goes on. These fixes are "attempts" because I am pushing them before doing extensive testing to fix these bugs.
USER INTERFACE
Updated the loading map widget
The old UI for loading the map was pretty bland. The new one is a tad more polished.
Added hints to the map loading widget
PLAYER
Temporarily removed all idle head bobbing when standing still.
This made interactions with the inventory difficult, and simply disabling it when the inventory was open didn't feel right during testing; it's hard to describe why, but it was inconsistent. I'm removing the idle head movements until I find a better solution.
I will release my plans for the month of July soon, once they are finalized. The plan for June was small bug fixes and minor content additions. In the coming months, I will shift to working on large content updates.
I will utilize the new Unstable branch as a means for testing new features and upcoming additions.
