Quick patch before EA release.

As I finalize testing for the EA release of Acatalepsy, it has come to my attention that there are a few multiplayer bugs that are more complicated to resolve than I had thought.

changedHere are the fixes I have made, or attempted to flesh out, immediately before the EA releaseBypassed a previous requirement for leaving sessions, allowing clients to leave games now. For some reason, clients couldn't leave the server's game through the pause menu because some session-specific function was failing. I just bypassed that function and now force-close the client's connection to the server, which might give unintended consequences when rejoining other games. I haven't noticed any bugs coming up related to this fix in particular, so I will continue to observe as time goes on.
fixedHere are the fixes I have made, or attempted to flesh out, immediately before the EA releaseI am aware there is a client-side bug related to the modifier wheel not initializing properly on clients, causing the wheel to read default values on all of the wheel's options. I am currently trying to find the cause of this issue and find its fix.

As I finalize testing for the EA release of Acatalepsy, it has come to my attention that there are a few multiplayer bugs that are more complicated to resolve than I had thought. Multiplayer will be in Acatalepsy on release, albeit less stable than intended and more bug-prone. Singleplayer is always an option, and is enabled by default if the game is started with no friends joined.

Here are the fixes I have made, or attempted to flesh out, immediately before the EA release

  • Attempted fix at footstep audio being heard at extreme distances

  • Attempted fix at inventory audio being heard by all players at long distances

  • Attempted a fix for clients not being put into spectator mode properly after escaping or dying

  • Fixed various weird audio bugs related to footstep audio in specific circumstances

  • Bypassed a previous requirement for leaving sessions, allowing clients to leave games now.

I am aware there is a client-side bug related to the modifier wheel not initializing properly on clients, causing the wheel to read default values on all of the wheel's options. I am currently trying to find the cause of this issue and find its fix.

Again, I really appreciate your patience, as this is my first title released on Steam, being my first multiplayer game as well, I'm still learning the ropes. Please bear with me as I figure out how to fix these annoying bugs and multiplayer-related issues.
