changedEnhanced Movement: The running and walking animations have been completely reworked! Your character now subtly bounces as they push off with their feet, creating a much more natural and weighty feel.
changedDynamic Breathing: Your character's torso now shows a breathing animation. The rate and intensity of the breath directly correlate to their exertion level from recent activity. The harder you push them, the heavier they'll breathe!
changedWeapon Recoil: Feel the power of your weapons! Firing now causes the character's arm to bend and their shoulder to push back. Different weapons have uniquely tuned recoil strengths.

Here's what's new:

Visual & Animation Polish

  • Enhanced MovementThe running and walking animations have been completely reworked! Your character now subtly bounces as they push off with their feet, creating a much more natural and weighty feel.
  • Dynamic Breathing: Your character's torso now shows a breathing animation. The rate and intensity of the breath directly correlate to their exertion level from recent activity. The harder you push them, the heavier they'll breathe!

  • Weapon Recoil: Feel the power of your weapons! Firing now causes the character's arm to bend and their shoulder to push back. Different weapons have uniquely tuned recoil strengths.

Audio Overhaul & 3D Sound

  • Character BreathingAdded vocalized breathing sounds that sync with the new breathing animation.
  • Precise 3D Audio: The "listening point" for environmental and event sounds has been moved from the camera's center to the character's head, making it much easier to pinpoint where sounds are coming from.

  • Accurate Foley: The source for clothing rustle sounds has been moved to the character's torso, making these subtle sounds feel more grounded and realistic.

  • Reduced Audio ClutterRemoved the meaningless "bumping" sound when the player or zombies push against passive zombies, cleaning up the soundscape.

UI & Quality of Life

  • Workshop & Warehouse InfoThe "Workshop" tab now displays the available and total number of weapon models. The "Warehouse" tab displays the current count of your stored weapons for the selected type.
  • Version Number: The game version (0.0.1) is now displayed on the main menu.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the ESC key wouldn't work to exit options if another player paused the game in multiplayer.

  • Fixed a progress bar from an abandoned mission incorrectly persisting in the camp.

  • Fixed an incorrect footstep sound playing when running over corpses.

  • Fixed the screen not dimming correctly when joining a lobby.
