ZEROAD changes
The zombie apocalypse is unforgiving. Version 0.1.8 is about giving you the tools and training you need to survive longer, push further, and truly prepare for what's coming. The early roads are now more forgiving, while the late game remains as brutal as ever.
Easier Start, Fairer Progression
Let's be real: getting thrown into the apocalypse is tough. This update makes the beginning of your journey more manageable so you can actually learn the ropes.
- Fewer Zombies EarlyReduced the number of passive zombies on the first three roads. Reduced the number of active zombies on the very first road.
- Better Starter LootAdded a chance to find StG-44 and Breda 30 in the Gun Cabinet after the first road.
Full XP on Death: You now receive full road experience even if you die during it. Every attempt teaches you something, and now you're properly rewarded for it.
Risk & Reward Rebalance
Resource chests and ambushes now scale more fairly. The first few roads are quicker and safer, while higher roads demand more for their rewards.
Chest Opening Time: Increases with road level (up to 15), rewarding patience. On the first 4 roads, opening is actually faster.
Ambush Duration: Now scales with road level (up to 15). The first 6 roads have shorter ambushes, making early game less punishing.
Loot Cap: Gains are now limited to a maximum of 23-26 resources after Road 15. No more infinite scaling.
The result: Roads 1-5 are noticeably easier. Roads 13+ are tougher and no longer shower you with infinite resources.
Visual & Fixes
- Fog IntensitySlightly decreased for better visibility without losing atmosphere.
Fixed Piercing Bug: The affix that trades damage for piercing now correctly works for clients.
Survival takes practice. Now you have room to learn. See you on the asphalt.
