It's been a little bit since you've heard about WWII Online: Chokepoint, so as we get closer to approaching our anniversary I wanted to let you know that we're making good progress in Unreal Engine 5, and more and more things are getting worked out.

The current focus for the team is to get the map Carentan squared away. This includes fixing up the boundaries, expanding on the existing artwork and making the environment more believable (populated).

Additionally, restoring content that was previously functional remains an active priority and recent additions include the Gewehr43 (German semi-automatic rifle) and the MP40 (German submachine gun).

Chokepoint remains an essential priority to develop in the UE5 environment and bring more awareness to WWII Online overall. The team is growing stronger, our tools are getting better, and we're on our way to getting this thing going.

Without further ado, please observe these new additions in our current Unreal Engine 5 environment. Remember: All of this represents a strong work in progress.

Here you can see the famous "Cafe De Normandie" in the UE5 environment. Windows are now destroyable and several under the hood cleanup items have occurred.

The return of the MP40 has occurred and it is now getting final touches / animation fixes.

The German military encampment remains largely the same, but here it is in UE5.

The "Hotel" has been significantly updated from its prior greybox state, and is mostly populated.

Here's the comeback of the Gewehr43, guarding the Hotel's front door. This is a capture point.

Inside of the Hotel near the back of the building, a very cool and eerie hallway. Awesome lighting!

The pathway between the Hotel and the Railway. This chokepoint is known for intense engagements.

The railway station has received some various upgrades and several under the hood fixes.

Inside the railway station, we love the graphics and lighting in here. Check out the tile for reflections.
