changedPreviously, the construction planner always used materials from the main asteroid and produced any missing resources there — even if we were building something in a colony. This was designed so that the produced materials could later be transported by a transport ship to the colony where the construction was taking place. In practice, however, this solution turned out to be confusing and often misled players.
addedNow the construction planner works locally at the location where the construction is taking place. This means that if you are building in a colony and add, for example, a refinery to the planner, the system will look for the required materials in the container of that specific asteroid.
changedBelow is a short video showing how to upgrade a mine to level 2 in a colony when the required materials are not available there.
changedReduced the character sliding on surfaces.
addedAdded informational tooltips to the asteroid and fleet lists that appear when hovering the cursor over an icon.
addedAdded a description for foundations during construction.

Other fixes

  • Reduced the character sliding on surfaces.

  • Added informational tooltips to the asteroid and fleet lists that appear when hovering the cursor over an icon.

  • Added a description for foundations during construction.

When building foundations, you can change the material they are made of — previously this was not described anywhere. For example, if you are on an asteroid that only has silicon, you do not have to use the default regolith.

Simply press [Tab] to open the Styles Panel, then select the construction material in the right panel. The Styles Panel can be closed again by pressing [Tab].
