A new update has arrived in Wizdom Academy!

This patch brings improvements to the Directorium system, village contributions, recruitment, trials, UI feedback, save loading, visual polish, and several important bug fixes.

We’ve also added new quality-of-life features to make academy management clearer, smoother, and more responsive.

Steam post image

  • Selection windows can now be moved by clicking and dragging them.

  • Moved windows now keep their position when reopened, between sessions, and after loading a save.

  • Error and confirmation popups can now be validated with Enter and cancelled with Escape.

  • Characters waiting at the portal now display a clear icon showing whether they are a student or a teacher.

  • Waiting bubbles have been improved with a larger display, a clearer gauge, and direct character selection on click.

  • Inactive teachers now display an inactivity icon above their head and in the management menu.

  • The Trial Room now displays a warning when no teacher is assigned.

  • Graduating students now walk to the portal before leaving the academy.

  • A new dynamic Directorium Trust system has been introduced.

  • Directorium Trust now reacts to academy events such as trials, recruitment, village unlocks, inactive teachers, and inactive students.

  • Gigoulems can now be clicked to trigger their greeting animation.

  • New visual work has been added to the Mana Tree upgrade cinematic.

  • The Glyphite Storage room has received new visual improvements, including sculpted flooring, textures, props, and interior polish.

  • Trial Room requirements have been reduced from 10 students to 5 students to shorten the wait before an exam.

  • Recruitment probabilities have been adjusted, reducing the chance of receiving teacher candidates from villages.

  • Rooms now degrade and break much less often.

  • The Builder Workshop no longer degrades or gets vandalized.

  • The Mana Tree upgrade cinematic now lasts longer, giving the sequence more time to breathe.

  • The Trial Room now costs 20 Glyphite and 1 Golem Core.

  • Players now start with exactly 1 Golem Core.

  • The Golem Core can no longer be given to the Emissary, preventing progression blockers.

  • The Emissary tax system has been reworked.

  • Emissary tax amounts are now based on the player’s total wealth, including gold and resources converted into gold value.

  • Emissary tax values now scale more naturally with game progression.

  • Selling the Golem Core has been removed from the tax interface.

  • Directorium Trust gains and losses have been rebalanced.

  • Paying the tax correctly now increases Directorium Trust.

  • Underpaying the tax now decreases Directorium Trust.

  • Graduating students now improves Directorium Trust.

  • Inactive teachers and students now reduce Directorium Trust over time.

  • The Emissary now announces their arrival several cycles in advance.

  • Calm periods between Emissary visits have been restored.

  • Early Emissary taxes have been rebalanced to avoid values that were too low.

  • The Headmaster trait now works correctly, keeping motivation locked at 100%.

  • Gold-related teacher traits are now fixed when the teacher is created and remain consistent between admission and management.

  • Several teacher and student traits have been implemented and balanced.

  • Diploma traits earned during a year are now kept and become initial traits the following year.

  • Exploration squad and Mana Mine traits have been removed from recruitment.

  • Older saves containing removed traits can still be loaded properly.

  • The prolonged drought alert no longer triggers at the very start of the game before any mana infrastructure exists.

  • The “disable 3 rooms” quest now requires 3 rooms to be disabled at the same time, instead of counting repeated actions.

  • The terminology used across the game has been harmonized around the Directorium, Emissary, Directorium’s Tax, and Directorium’s Trust.

  • The Directorium dismissal screen has been rewritten for better clarity and tone.

  • Gold gain and loss variations no longer use the “$” symbol.

  • “Waiting for TP” has been renamed to “In queue”.

  • The next tax panel title has been updated to Directorium’s Emissary Expectations.

  • The speed menu now uses a clearer color code, with the active speed highlighted in blue and inactive speeds in grey.

  • The history log of a character now displays the most recent event at the top.

  • The outdated rank counter in the recruitment panel has been hidden.

  • The alert bell dropdown now behaves more smoothly when updated, emptied, reopened, or closed.

  • Inactivity penalties in the Directorium Trust panel now display clearer values and totals.

  • Gold received during recruitment now correctly matches the displayed amount.

  • Fixed an issue where gold traits could be applied twice during recruitment.

  • Student recruitment gold is now calculated correctly after age promotion.

  • Total student count is now calculated correctly.

  • Rank II and Rank III students no longer appear before the related classrooms are unlocked.

  • Teacher salaries displayed in the admission panel now correctly take traits into account.

  • Teachers refused at admission now leave the academy instead of staying at the entrance.

  • Clicking a waiting teacher now opens their recruitment profile instead of recruiting them instantly.

  • The final exam “Fate Choice” icon now appears only when all students in the trial session have finished.

  • Graduated students are now properly removed from the management menu after choosing their fate.

  • Fixed console errors that could occur when choosing a graduate’s fate again.

  • Trial Room teachers now properly lose their energy and leave the trial animation after an exam.

  • The Directorium Emissary can no longer remain stuck in the portal after payment.

  • Recruitment now happens immediately when the game is paused.

  • Recruitment particles and sounds no longer replay when returning to a floor where a recruited student is located.

  • The loading screen now appears immediately after clicking “load game”.

  • Clicks are now blocked during loading.

  • Loading a save during gameplay should no longer result in an infinite loading screen.

  • Failed save loading now returns properly to the menu with a clear message.

  • Corrupted or incompatible saves are now refused properly instead of causing infinite loading.

  • Village contribution income is now correct immediately after unlocking contributions.

  • Village contribution income no longer temporarily displays incorrect placeholder values.

  • Changing the game language in the settings now works and persists correctly.

  • The red exclamation mark on the recruitment icon now correctly reflects the real candidate queue.

  • The recruitment alert now disappears when the candidate queue is empty.

  • Fixed a quest icon that could remain floating on screen after completing a quest.

  • Fixed the first missive displaying “##” instead of the correct text.

  • The close button duplicate has been removed from the next tax panel.

  • A confirmation popup now appears when the player is about to underpay the Emissary and lose Directorium Trust.

  • Temporary effect values are no longer hidden by the hourglass icon in trust and satisfaction lists.

  • The codex info button is clickable again.

  • Keyboard shortcuts no longer trigger gameplay actions while the technology tree menu is open.

  • The student and teacher counter arrow now opens the yearly detail correctly and points in the right direction.

  • The teleportation portal technology has been hidden from the technology tree, as it should no longer be available.

  • The tower and lit corridor rewards have been removed from the onboarding quest rewards to avoid confusion.

This update focuses on making Wizdom Academy clearer, fairer, and more stable.

The Directorium system should now feel more alive, recruitment and trials should behave more consistently, and several UI and loading issues have been addressed.
