Wasteland Kitchen changes
Woah, long time no see! I've been having some serious life things that have made it very difficult to work on another update, but here's the first of a few I want to do.
The Grippy Update
Pick things up! Put them down! Throw them! Throw them on the ground! Throw them at the grinder! Do it!
New Directions
For the Massive Update, things took a much deeper, more survival direction. In retrospect, some of this is good, some of it is not so great. Going forward, I think some of the survival elements might get toned back a bit in favor of more fun design decisions. For example, I'm currently prototyping food prep minigames to see if that feels better to play. If you have a suggestion, leave it below!
Also, let me know if the crafting grid is something you like, or is it just tedious?
Features
Lifting: if it can fall, bounce or tumble, you can now lift it with physics. This is separate than carrying/placing items and is an instant, quick move for items.
Dragging bodies: same feature as lifting, but I wanted to point it out twice because it now works to drag corpses (or parts of them) around.
Corpses Trigger Bear Traps: That's it. Nothing else to say.
Tweaks
Gibbing Enemies/NPCs now has a unique, gross sound
Improved grinding FX
Fixes | Gameplay
Rats now try to return back to where they spawn (prevents them from disappearing into the wilderness).
Fixes | Internal
Body bag error on drop
