changedIt's been a stressful yet highly productive few months. Wasteland Kitchen hasn't seen a public update in a while—not because the game has been dropped, but because it's been expanded, reworked and revamped in a every possible way . I've been in full crunch mode for a while, but in the end, I think it's been worth it as the game is now much closer to the original vision and has been shaped by community feedback.
fixedWith the upcoming update the game will become something much bigger than before, a majority of complaints have been addressed and overall, the game has a massive increase in gameplay. Without spoiling the details before the official announcement, some of the new features include grid based crafting, a fully featured inventory and toolbar system (no more holding a single thing), a more explorable world, loot, health, combat, a real intro, keybinds, graphic settings, and so much more .
changedThis has been a journey and a half, and while it would have been nice to release this update in smaller chunks, the changes are too interconnected and game-breaking to push out piecemeal. I'll be running the game on discount now and when the update releases, with a planned increase in price after the content update launches . Thanks to everyone who has played the game so far—I hope you decide to take a trip back into the wasteland when it releases, because it's a completely different world out there now.
addedAs a closing little preview, here's WIP a screenshot from the new update:
