🧩 Mission System Overhaul
Major expansion to the Mission & Story System:
Now tracks item collection, door states, hostile stats.
Supports mission resets for replay-ability where applicable.
New missions and locations added, including bunkers and abandoned stations.
🧰 Gameplay Systems & Mechanics
Bug Fixes:
Resolved a critical issue causing mission content to spawn in triplicate.
Fixed bugs with research, hacking, tool state logic and other small fixes.
Interactivity Improvements:
Enhanced prompts for scanning and interaction.
Doors, lights, and gravity systems now respond to mission and player states.
Configurable door animation speed.
Tractor & Salvage Tools:
Added weld cutting, hinge/joint breakdowns.
Salvage tools now affect crafted pools.
Tractor Tool now includes position and rotation modes
🛠 Item & Inventory Enhancements
Inventory System Rework:
Item stacking and splitting in player and ship storage.
Volume tracking added.
UI upgrades for inventory, ship storage, and volume display.
"Inventory Full" audio feedback added.
Added Inventory Upgrade Module.
Storage Systems:
Storage locker and ship storage limits introduced.
Expanded UI readouts and gravity-aware item interactions.
🔥 Heat System Introduced
Systems, modules, and weapons now generate heat.
Heat is tracked on a new Heat Readout, with EM value displayed.
Ship Cooler Module added to manage temperature buildup.
🔫 Suit & Weaponry
Added 3x new Suit Armors.
Introduced new weapon with improved loading mechanics and one that uses ammo.
Weapons using ammo can now be loaded/unloaded.
Hand weapons now auto-align to crosshair.
🛰 Environment & Locations
Multiple new locations added and expanded.
Magnetic Field Asteroids updated.
Improved loading performance for locations.
🤖 Hostiles & Drones
Added drone variant and a new hostile type.
FPS Hostiles improved and system jitter reduced.
🗂 UI & Task Management
Task List improvements:
Tracks "collect over time" goals.
Task List visuals improved
Updated visuals for interaction prompts and tooltips.
🔧 Quality of Life
Build Tool now respects radiation zones (lore-based restriction).
Items marked as scannable more consistently.
Code cleanup and internal optimization pass.
Tools no longer run when unequipped.

📅 Looking Ahead
With continued expansion to mission systems, dynamic environments, and core survival mechanics, WarpedSpace is steadily approaching a robust, feature-complete alpha. July’s work laid critical foundations for scalable gameplay, deeper interactivity, and performance improvements across the board.
