It’s no coincidence he is considered the most relentless fighter in the squad. His favorite rifle, the SARB-15 JAKL in a special camo, has long become a legend among his enemies — and put an end to any mockery of “Rabbit.”

About the Agent

Markus Gruba was born into a family of Czech workers, but from an early age he despised the routine and hard labor his relatives lived by. He dreamed of a rich and exciting life, far from gray streets and the constant smell of machine oil.

His first attempt to break out of that life was a sports career. Natural strength, precision, and a competitive nature earned him a place on the junior biathlon team. But Markus lacked the discipline and composure needed to win. And he hated losing — so much that when he was awarded second place after a photo finish, he lashed out and struck a judge. The result was a lifetime ban and the need to find a new path.

Markus then joined the army. However, constant violations of regulations and his rough attitude toward superiors quickly led to his demotion and dismissal. Looking for easy money, he turned to mercenary work, where his combat skills proved useful. But his impulsiveness remained his greatest weakness: he frequently clashed with employers over payment and broke agreements. He also struggled to work with others, operating alone while envying the lucrative contracts secured by groups like the Rust Workers. When he learned that a major figure was choosing a contractor for an important job, Markus decided to prove his superiority over them. Although the contract went to the squad, Markus pursued the mission on his own, hoping to complete it first. His interference nearly jeopardized the operation, but his precise shooting and a reckless, near-suicidal maneuver ultimately ensured its success.

The squad leader known as Owl saw potential in the bold mercenary. He didn’t promise wealth but appealed to Markus’s pride: "Alone, you’ll never get the contracts we do. Join us, and your name will be whispered in fear in the halls of power. Or is that too much for you?"

Markus accepted the challenge — but demanded the freedom to act without waiting for orders. Owl agreed, as long as Markus’s recklessness did not endanger the squad. That’s how Markus Gruba became Rabbit — the youngest and most uncontrollable fighter of the Rust Workers.
