In this update, a new Background System has been introduced to add depth to character creation, along with balance adjustments and bug fixes for a smoother gameplay experience. You can check the detailed patch notes below.

New System: Your Background
Now, when creating a character, you can choose a 'Background' that determines the protagonist's origin and past. The direction of your mercenary group will change depending on the past you choose.
Background and Current Choices
Choose one of the three branches extending from your past. You will obtain additional items depending on your choice.
Background-Based Character Stats Setup: Characters' available talents are now somewhat aligned with their backgrounds. This resolves the issue where players had to spend an excessive amount of time re-rolling characters just to get good talents.
Balance Adjustments
We have adjusted the balance to improve player convenience and ensure more reasonable combat on the battlefield.
- Trait Activation Conditions ChangedThe activation condition for traits that previously required reaching a certain level of 'Endurance' has been changed to 'Maximum HP'.
- Papal States Equipment AdjustmentsSome equipment from the Papal States had excessively high prices, so their prices and performance have been adjusted.
- AI Difficulty AdjustmentThe proficiency and stats that the AI gains per level have been lowered to reduce combat fatigue.
UI / UX
- Squad Movement Speed StabilizationFixed an issue so that the player's squad moves at a constant, smooth speed when moving across tiles.
Camera Work Polishing: Polished camera movement transitions in various situations to be smoother and more immersive.
System Optimization
Chat Widget Optimization: Limited the maximum number of chat logs in the battle HUD and optimized it to improve stability.
Bug Fixes
- Papal States Citizen Equipment FixFixed an issue where some citizen NPCs in the Papal States would spawn wearing excessively expensive equipment that did not match their status.
- Mercenary Spawn Bug FixResolved an issue where some characters occasionally spawned naked without any equipment.
- Tombstone Placement Error FixFixed an issue where the tombstones of fallen allies were not placed accurately on tiles and were misaligned.
- Damage Stats NormalizationFixed a bug where melee and ranged damage bonus stats were not being applied in actual combat.
- Freezing Issue ResolvedFixed a critical bug where the game would temporarily freeze when executing a cavalry charge towards an enemy spear wall on the battlefield.
