We are back with a new development update for Wandersky.

It has been a busy month for the team, with polishing, bug fixing and new content taking shape behind scenes. We’ve continued improving the early parts of the adventure, working on new enemies, and adding more detail to the world of Hyndara.

There is still a lot to do, but little by little, everything is coming together, and we’re really excited to share what we’ve been working on with you.

Let’s take a look:

Content, pacing & progression

  • Improved enemy placement throughout Act 1.

  • Continued cleaning up and polishing multiple maps.

  • Added and adjusted environment details.

  • Improved quest, quest objectives, and quest log functionality.

  • Continued working on tutorial screens and progression.

Economy & Items

  • Designing and balancing the in-game economy.

  • Worked on merchant interfaces and shop functionality.

  • Added and reviewed the Omiwa and Bucolism shops.

  • Improved UI visuals and item scaling.

  • Continued work on food, armor, consumables and inventory slots.

  • Worked on recipe localisation.

  • Improved key-item notifications.

Environment & World assets

  • Finish the Omiwa miniature.

  • Created the Deer Square asset.

  • Finished the Teleport Stone asset

  • Continued work on the large tree asset.

  • New gathering spots for the cave areas.

  • New root variations.

  • Started the Hyndara Altar.

  • Finished screw puzzle assets

Enemies & Combat

  • Finished and polished the [UNNAMED ENEMY].

  • Continued the development of [UNNAMED ENEMY].

  • Completed work on the [UNNAMED ENEMY].

  • Developed a new elite enemy [UNNAMED ENEMY]

  • New enemy types and combat behaviours.

  • Added new enemy portals and blocker interactions.

Animation

  • Completed [UNNAMED ENEMY] stuck and hit animations.

  • Added [UNNAMED ENEMY] attack loop and detection animations.

  • Added attack, pick up, throw, and reaction animations for the [UNNAMED ENEMY]

  • Polished [UNNAMED ENEMY] animations.

  • Continued animations support for the [UNNAMED ENEMY]

Throughout August, we continued to work on the project, whilst also posting content for our community on our social media channels.
