Hi everyone,

Development on Voivod: The Nuclear Warrior continues at full speed, and we’re excited to share a new progress update.

Our current goal is to reach an alpha version of the full game by the end of June, meaning that all core systems and content will be in place. We’re getting closer to that milestone with each iteration.

Gameplay & Systems Progress

Over the past month, we’ve been focusing on:

  • Finalizing level design across multiple areas

  • Improving core gameplay mechanics and responsiveness

  • Refining enemy behaviors to create more engaging encounters

We’ve also had the chance to present the game at an event in Tallinn, Estonia, where players could try out a prototype. This gave us valuable feedback and confirmed that the gameplay loop is engaging: many players got quickly immersed and shared very positive reactions.

Enemy Animations Preview

Below you can see a couple of enemy animations from the game.

Their design is strongly inspired by the visual universe of Voivod, especially the artwork of Michel “Away” Langevin. Bringing that distinctive style into animated pixel art is an ongoing challenge, and something we’re continuously refining.

Support the Project

If you’d like to support the game:

  • Wishlist on Steam — it’s free and helps visibility a lot

  • Support us on Patreon for deeper insights and previews

  • Late pledges are still available on Kickstarter

  • Spread the word — it really makes a difference

Thanks for following development, and stay tuned for more updates.
