Hi everyone,

Development on Voivod: The Nuclear Warrior keeps moving forward steadily, and we’re happy to share a new progress update.

We’ve now entered the final months of core development, and in recent weeks our focus has been on both expanding the content of the game and refining its systems. This means finalizing new areas, improving enemy and boss behaviors, and implementing more hidden paths and secret sections throughout the world.

The game has also entered a more advanced playtesting phase. At the current stage, the build already offers around 4–5 hours of gameplay, including exploration, boss encounters, skills, weapons, and more. This allows us to better test progression, pacing, balance, and the overall player experience.

A particularly exciting moment for us is that Dominic “Rocky” Laroche, bassist of Voivod, has also started playtesting the game. He recently shared his thoughts publicly, and his feedback has been extremely encouraging:

“A few days ago I started playing to test the game!! I knew it would live up to my expectations, but it's so much more!! It brings back memories of when I spent hours gaming, but finding myself in an adventure in the Voivod universe is incredible!! The visuals, the music, the way the game evolves, it's amazing!!! It constantly gives me chills! Whether you're a gamer or not, you'll love it! I can't imagine how many hours Nicola Piovesan from Chaosmonger Studio and the team put into this project, but it's a beautiful tribute and worthy of Voivod! In short, being the one testing the game... I can say I have the best job!”

We also wanted to share a few atmospheric screenshots taken from different areas of the game, captured without HUD, player, or enemies, to highlight the environmental art and the mood of the world we’re building.

What you see here is the result of a fully hand-crafted process. Every visual element is created pixel by pixel by our human artists, without the use of AI-generated content. The game itself comes together through a close collaboration between artists, designers, coders, musicians, and the rest of the team, all working toward the same vision. For a small indie studio like ours, reaching this level of consistency, detail, and atmosphere is something we’re truly proud of.

If you’d like to support the project, the best thing you can do is wishlist the game on Steam. It’s free, and it helps visibility tremendously. You can also support us on Patreon, check the late pledges on Kickstarter, and keep spreading the word!

As always, thank you for following development.
