Hi everyone!

It’s been a couple of months since the end of our Kickstarter campaign, and development on Voivod: The Nuclear Warrior has been moving full throttle.

A lot has happened in a short time: we’ve expanded several areas, built new content, and revisited key sections to enhance atmosphere and immersion. One standout example is a major visual overhaul of an early-game zone. We've improved animations, added multi-layered parallax effects, and reworked the lighting to give the environment more depth and mood. Check out the before/after comparison video below to see the evolution.

We’ve also been refining the main character’s core animations—especially running and jumping—to make movement feel more fluid, grounded, and responsive. Below you’ll find a before/after GIF that highlights these improvements.

Meanwhile, we’re preparing a playable build for Gamescom 2025, where we’ll present the game to potential publishers and press. If you're attending the event in Cologne (August 19–24) and have access to the business area, feel free to drop by the Nordic Pavilion and say hello!

We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more soon. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, please consider wishlisting the game on Steam and spreading the word—it really helps support the project and increases visibility.

Stay tuned, The Chaosmonger Studio team
