Repeated intro
Hello community! I'm very excited to share that much progress has been made in the past few months.

Vitrified changes
First off, I've conducted a fairly major re-design of the game as a whole. Previously, the plan was for it to be a purely linear adventure, but now it is an open-world survival adventure. The story and core mechanics remain largely the same, but I realised focusing on exploration and survival makes a lot more sense for the game I am trying to make. Plus, the post-apocalyptic wasteland is naturally very conducive to the new survival elements! The story will reveal itself slowly as you explore the world and get closer to escaping the wasteland.
Because of this re-design, I've had to re make a fair amount of content, but it's already feeling better and more interesting than ever! One bit of content I'm proud of is the opening scene of the game, which reveals why you find yourself in the middle of the wasteland, and how you come to meet ALAN, your trusty robot companion.
As well as new content, I'm also very happy with the newly implemented survival mechanics. In particular, the thirst mechanic. It feels tactile and satisfying to finally find a source of water and refill your bottle, and the necessity of finding water forces you to explore more of the world, including the mysterious underground tunnels...
With all of this progress I'm keen to keep up the momentum, so I have set myself the target of getting a demo ready for the Steam Next Fest in June! There is a whole lot to do by then but if I keep this current momentum I am optimistic that it will be ready.
Finally, I'm excited to share a spectacular new enemy made by my brilliant artist Matteo. Thanks for checking in!
