Big news! The demo for Vitrified is finally releasing this Saturday (22nd November)!

I've been developing the game for 4 years now and it feels surreal to finally make it to this point. It's gone through redesigns, overhauls and almost getting thrown in the trash, but I'm really proud with the state it's in now. However, I couldn't have got to this point without the lovely people who offered their time to play test my little game. Since releasing the playtest, I've been working through an enormous backlog of bugs, features and redesigns, plus figuring out what bits of the game players really enjoy, and making sure the game has plenty of those.

The last two months have been very heavily focussed on improving the overall experience in terms of bug fixing and gameplay clarity, but I've added lots of features that I'm really proud of which have pushed the game closer to my vision of what I want it to be. Specifically:

  • ALAN can now be upgraded!

  • Lots of lore and world story to be uncovered

  • New mechanics

  • Giant worm skeletons

  • New areas

I've also been lucky enough to have Vitrified selected to be a part of the Winter OTK Games Expo, where they will be showing my demo trailer on stream. Even getting considered for festivals like that blows my mind.

Thank you to everyone who's ever left a nice comment or expressed an interest in Vitrified. It feels so nice to finally be releasing something that I'm proud of.

Cheers!

Jack
