removedVIETNAM CONTENT:Airstrikes (“B” key) called by player and dive bomb airstrikes called by NPC radiomen will now use tangential approach (relative to base perimeter) if near friendly base, to minimize collateral damage. In other words; these will no longer devastate friendly US bases. This code also used to have a 10% chance of failure, which has now been reduced to 5% (it simulates rare friendly fire incidents).
removedVIETNAM CONTENT:Victory Points and various other things and accomplishments in Vietnam are no longer unintentionally cleared when going to U.S.A. (oops sorry guys).
addedVIETNAM CONTENT:Player now has proper momentum when running down hills and mountains.
addedVIETNAM CONTENT:Player movement now has more bounce and thus moves more smoothly across rough terrain.
fixedVIETNAM CONTENT:Fixed a high priority issue where some NPC squads that had been killed; would be revived when the player loaded their save. Leading to a rising amounts of squads that should not be present. We fixed this by adding save data for squad health, which is set to 0 on squad death. Meaning; fallen squads of enemies should no longer rise from the grave after you load your save.

VIETNAM CONTENT:

AIRSTRIKES & ARTILLERY:

* VC/NVA NPC artillery is now significantly less accurate than before, to make them less frustrating to

deal with.

* Player called artillery is now more accurate.

* VC/NVA NPC RPG's are now less accurate.

* Airstrikes (“B” key) called by player and dive bomb airstrikes called by NPC radiomen will now use tangential approach (relative to base perimeter) if near friendly base, to minimize collateral damage. In other words; these will no longer devastate friendly US bases. This code also used to have a 10% chance of failure, which has now been reduced to 5% (it simulates rare friendly fire incidents).

High Priority Fixes:

* Victory Points and various other things and accomplishments in Vietnam are no longer unintentionally cleared when going to U.S.A. (oops sorry guys).

* Player now has proper momentum when running down hills and mountains.

* Player movement now has more bounce and thus moves more smoothly across rough terrain.

* Fixed a high priority issue where some NPC squads that had been killed; would be revived when the player loaded their save. Leading to a rising amounts of squads that should not be present. We fixed this by adding save data for squad health, which is set to 0 on squad death. Meaning; fallen squads of enemies should no longer rise from the grave after you load your save.

* Fix for issue where sometimes after player drove far in land vehicles originating from groups of vehicles on roads, would cause destruction of player’s parent object (the vehicle), and thus cause loud noise and stall of game. It was reported as BTR-60 issue but fix applies to all.

PLAYER BODY HEALTH SYSTEM:

* Player body part damage system (view with H key):

(Damage percentage shown is relative to original values)

Head shots cause +100% damage.

Torso at 0 health causes damage over time. Hits cause +15% damage.

Damage to legs causes slower movement and swimming. Hits cause -15% damage.

Damage to arms causes more recoil and slower swimming. Hits cause -25% damage.

Damage to right arm causes lower melee damage, lower throwing force.

Body parts can regain health passively over time, but not if they reached 0 health.

Bandages, morphine, being healed by a medic, using the medical crate at hospital tents and respawning restores health to all body parts. You can get more healing supplies by going to a medical crate at hospital tents.

Explosions and traps can damage body parts, but player health is affected like normal.

BUG FIXES/ADJUSTMENTS:

* NPC close quarter detection of player has been updated (detection of VC player affected to a higher degree due to that situation being further from the intended conditions).

* NPCs aiming at player updated (to better match new body part damage system).

* Less indirect explosion damage for player (when solid structures block direct path from player to explosion center).

* Fixed an issue where entering US civilian cars prevents entering aircraft afterwards.

* The "Going Home Sign" in the buildings at large US bases that let you fast travel to Saigon if you have a completed Tour, should now fade the screen back to normal once used.

* Interacting with objects by looking at them now has a reduced range.

* Less MP dogs.

* Pine trees are now more lush and green (in both S.E. Asia and U.S.A.).

* Opening the Inventory no longer brings up the UI message about changing clothing, nor the cooldown.
