Twins of Olus changes
Hi everyone!
First off we want to give a huge thanks to anyone who played the demo since we launched it just a few weeks ago. We've gotten tons of incredible feedback from many players who were very passionate about Twins of Olus. That being said we quickly got to work on some of the most commonly suggested features and tweaks to make the overall experience as smooth as possible no matter what device you're playing on.
Demo Update v00.04.01 Notes
New Options
Expanded options menu with new graphical and gameplay adjustments. Some highlights include:
Graphics Presets
New Optimization Options
Dialogue Text Sizing
Screen Shake Toggle
Controller Rumble Toggle
Expanded Audio Controls
Accessibility
Increased text sizing across many UI menus
New auto aim functionality for launching Creo
Now the nearest enemy or hook hand will be automatically targeted during launch if an aim override isn’t being used (can be toggled in options menu)
Creo’s sprint can be set to be either a hold or a toggle input in options menu
Added an additional visual on launch aim override for easier target lineup
UI Updates
New layout design for Vilas inventory page
Adjustments to various menus for better ultrawide display scaling
Reworked every tutorial card to more clearly explain each mechanic
Added new tutorial card sub-menu for 2 player co-op
Reworked various input icons for easier readability
Small design update to co-op character select menu
Design Changes
New healing animation for Creo (Shorter player lockout) and a knockback is applied to enemies around Lions when healed
Reduced non player character aggressive timeout from 6 → 4 seconds
Reworked vegetation layout across all levels for better visibility during combat and exploration
Vilas can now be sent to the nearest observatory upon being discovered if you don’t currently have enough materials for immediate purchase
Present their offerings at a later time when visiting any observatory to permanently unlock them for combat
Stationary flower enemies can have their laser attack interrupted with Lion’s counter
Steam
Steam Cloud sync save support
Disabled Steam Input
Bug Fixes
Adjusted idle walk range on all enemies to avoid wandering off into corners or going too far from their spawn points
Stationary flower enemy sometimes had their tracking and attack visuals not in sync
Lions could get placed onto unmovable terrain when interacting with vilas shrines
[Coop] request swap/ability visuals can desync in specific scenarios
Sliders in options menu were unresponsive at times when using the mouse
Fixed missing SFX feedback from various UI menus
Fixed soft lock caused by closing co-op character selection menu through unintended exit
