Town of Tinysville changes
With the Steam Deckbuilding Fest right around the corner, Town of Tinysville has undergone some massive changes!
TL;DR
-Massive overhaul for the core gameplay mechanics
-Achievements
-Steam Cloud Saving
-Deckbuilders Fest 2026
The default branch of Town of Tinysville has been updated and now uses a new save file. If you want to use your old save file, go into Properties > Game Versions > then select "Old Version"
Main Features:
The Deck:
Instead of buying new cards every day, cards bought from the card shop go into your deck. Every day, you are dealt a hand of random cards to place on the map. Optimize your deck to ensure you get the buildings you need to make your town thrive!
Discard Revamp:
Previously, discards were pretty useless. They've been updated to actually be useful now! Not happy with the cards you were dealt? Simply select a card and press DISCARD. You'll be dealt a brand new card to place in your town!
Card Modifiers:
With the addition of the new deckbuilding feature, new chance cards have been added that allow you to add modifiers to your cards! Use the productive modifier to increase the output of your building, or the lucky modifier to add chance cards to your hand when placing a building. There's also negative modifiers! The immune modifier prevents you from discarding a building, and the landlocked modifier prevents your buildings from being placed near water.
Building Interactions:
Buildings have been changed to no longer have one positive buff. All buildings are now buffed and debuffed from other buildings within their radius. Be weary of placing buildings that generate negative income!
Water Buildings:
Besides land buildings, a set of brand new water buildings have been added. Maximize your town's output by expanding into the water, too!
Chaos Events:
Say goodbye to the old weekly rewards! At the start of a new week, your town is now challenged with unique chaos events. Earthquakes destroy your landmarks, hurricanes increase your reroll price, and tornados apply modifiers to your cards. Don't let these natural disasters destroy your run!
New Cards:
To celebrate this massive overhaul, a few more landmark cards, building cards, chance cards, and upgrade cards have been added. There are still 100 more cards planned for the full release.
Quality of Life Changes:
-Massive performance increase - up to 4x higher FPS on some devices.
