Tower Factory changes
Tower Factory Version 0.5.1.1 is here, and it brings a few important improvements and balance changes!
SMART SPLITTER
One interesting feature of this update is the new Smart Splitter.
The Tier 2 Splitter is now the Smart Splitter, which means each of its three outputs can be configured separately. You can choose which resource is allowed to pass through each output, or configure an output to only allow overflow resources.
This should make it much easier to build more compact and efficient factories, especially when working with more complex production chains.
OTHER CHANGES
Tier 2 Underground Belts have also been improved. They now travel 2 tiles underground instead of 1, which should make them much more useful when organizing your factory.
I have also increased the damage of DOTs, which includes bleed, burn, and poison. They now deal 5 damage per stack instead of 3, and 10 damage per stack instead of 6 against their preferred bar. All tower effects related to DOTs have been adjusted accordingly to match this change.
There are also some smaller improvements and bug fixes, including saving the enabled or disabled state of towers, reducing the number of clicks needed to gather coal and iron, and making it possible to recover a run from the last dawn if the game crashes.
At the end of this post you will find the full detailed changelog.
STEAM SUMMER SALE
The Steam Summer Sale also starts today and will last for two weeks!
During the sale, Tower Factory will be 20% off, so if you have been waiting for a good moment to get the game, this is a great opportunity.
WHAT'S NEXT?
I am still working hard on Tier 3.
Tier 3 will bring new resources, buildings, towers, and mechanics. It is a big update, and the full design is already planned, but there is still a lot of work left to do, especially implementation and 3D modeling.
For the 3D modeling part, I will have the help of Eugenia Suárez, who already created the enemies from the snow levels and some of the current tower evolutions.
My original plan was to release Tier 3 in June. Unfortunately, due to difficulty health issues affecting a very close family member, I have not been able to work as much as I would like, and I sometimes need to spend periods of time away from home.
Because of this, Tier 3 will probably be delayed until September. Hopefully it will be a little earlier, but I prefer to be honest about the current situation.
As always, you are very welcome to join the official Tower Factory Discord. I will also be reading your reviews and the comments you leave in the Steam forums.
I hope you enjoy this update, especially the new Smart Splitter. I think it is a small but very useful addition, and I am excited to see what kind of factory layouts you create with it.
Bests, Gius Caminiti
WARNING: updates should never delete your saved games. Even so, since the game is in Early Access, errors may occur. If you want to protect your saves, I recommend making a backup copy of your save folder before updating. The folder is located at AppData\\LocalLow\\GiusCaminiti\\TowerFactory\\files. You should copy the files folder.

T2 Underground Belts now travel 2 tiles underground instead of 1.

If the game crashes, it should now be possible to load the run from the last dawn.
