Tower Alchemist: Defend Khaldoria – Devlog Version 0.15

Soul Lanterns get smarter, the Tower Workshop gets friendlier, and a nasty Iron Splinters bug meets its end.

🔨 Major Updates

  • Soul Lantern Auto-Refill Click a Soul Lantern and you'll now see an auto-refill button that tops it up the moment it runs out of mana. The convenience costs a little extra: 7 mana per auto-refill instead of the 5 mana you pay when refilling manually.

  • Permanent Soul Lanterns via Soul Essence Using a Soul Essence on an existing Soul Lantern now makes it burn for the entire match instead of the previous 180 seconds. If you want a lantern to stay lit forever, this is your move.

  • Default Focus in the Tower Workshop You can now set a default focus option for your towers in the Tower Workshop. New towers will be built with your preferred focus right away, so you don't have to adjust every single one after placing it.

✨ Minor Updates

  • The Tower Workshop can now be closed with ESC.

  • Soul Lanterns can no longer be refilled when they're already full, so you won't accidentally waste mana.

  • Mob speed is now displayed correctly and updates live in the Mob Inspector.

⚖️ Balancing

  • Iron Splinters (Damage: 10% of tower damage ⇒ 20% of tower damage)

  • Sacrifice (Buff now scales correctly with the amount of gold and mana sacrificed instead of a flat bonus per 1 gold)

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the current focus setting of a tower was not visible.

  • Fixed an issue where targets walking over Iron Splinters took damage 3 times instead of 1 (this fix prompted the rebalance listed above).

  • Fixed an issue where the health bar of a mob sometimes stayed visible after it died.

  • Fixed an issue where the Death Tower did not hit all enemies within its range.
