✨ Highlights

This is a big one — a foundation-setting update that introduces the earliest versions of two long-awaited systems: The Hybridizer and The Archivist. They’re both very alpha, far from complete, and still rough around the edges — but they mark an exciting step toward a deeper, more personal Neeblarium. 💚

⚠️ These systems are early prototypes. Expect bugs, missing visuals, and plenty of room for refinement in future updates!

🧬 The Hybridizer (Early Alpha)

The first spark of true genetic engineering is here. Extract DNA from living Neeblies, mix traits, and begin experimenting with custom strains — all from a new tab in your Geneticist’s Toolkit.

You can:

• Sample DNA from any Neeblie.

• Combine traits to design new offspring.

• Save and load early genetic “blueprints.”

It’s basic, but it works — and it’s the start of something big.

📖 The Archivist (Early Alpha)

Your Neeblies now remember where they came from. The Heritage Ledger begins tracking lineages across generations, letting you view births, deaths, and family trees that persist across saves.

It’s still simple for now — but one day, you’ll be able to trace every Neeblie in your colony back to its origin. 🌱

💬 Personal Touches

• You can now rename Neeblies directly in the HUD. Names save automatically and display everywhere.

• Beds and resources shimmer with new ripple effects that feel like water breathing beneath glass.

• Hover rings and previews are cleaner, subtler, and render below the UI.

• Custom pixel-art cursors bring a little more personality to every click.

💀 Life & Loss

Abandoned Florin Beds now decay and fade naturally if left empty. Healthy beds thrive. Neglected ones die off. You can even rescue them mid-fade if you act quickly — a quiet reminder that every ecosystem needs care.

🏆 Achievements & Tutorial

• New achievements for first hatch, live births, and early colony milestones.

• Tutorial pacing improved to feel more natural — ending after your first successful hatch.

• Hints and achievement popups now include soft sound cues and smoother timing.

🌸 Polish & Quality of Life

• Cleaner HUD labels and better text contrast.

• Fixed overlapping ripple effects and preview rings.

• Streamlined animations and improved save/load stability.

• Slightly extended Neeblie lifespans for more relaxed observation.
