I know it's been a while since the last update in November, but I haven't been idle! Today I want to show you what I've been working on these past months. There have been some major changes that significantly expand the gameplay experience.

🏘️ Biome-Specific Architecture

Each biome (Forest, Desert, Mediterranean) now has its own unique 3D models for houses. Your cities blend even better into their surroundings, and each biome gets its very own character.

🌾 Fields: New Way for Passive Income

The new "Field" building lets you generate additional passive income, completely independent of merchants. But be careful: fields take up valuable building space and block paths for merchants and citizens. You'll need to plan strategically where to place them.

👥 New Characters and Models

All characters in the game have received updated 3D models. This includes citizens, merchants, ox guides, soldiers and bandits, they all look even better now. Plus, there are two completely new character types: Thieves and Berserkers, which bring new tactical challenges.

⚔️ Barracks and Soldiers

The new "Barracks" building automatically trains soldiers that you can place on towers or gates. Each barracks increases the maximum number of available soldiers, so plan your defenses accordingly!

😊 Happiness: A New Game Mechanic

The new "Happiness" value influences how quickly new residents move into your city. More houses, bandit raids, killed citizens or deforested areas lower happiness. Parks and churches increase it. Finding the right balance is key!

💰 Adjust Taxes

You can now set the taxes that merchants pay at the marketplace. Higher taxes fill your treasury faster but make citizens less happy due to high prices. Another decision that requires careful consideration.

🚪 New Gate Model

The gate has received an updated 3D model that fits much better with walls and towers. Your defenses will look more cohesive.

And if you haven't already: Add the game to your Steam wishlist – it really helps a lot!

Thanks for being part of this journey 🙌 — Daniel
