Many Bug Fixes!

Hello! It has been an absolutely crazy week for me fixing issues! Thankyou to everyone who has provided valuable feedback!

addedDesertsThere is some progress on a new desert level, but only to look at! When you complete the tutorial, you'll now receive a medal, giving you access to that level. I haven't even configured the level correctly yet, for example I think you only have 24 hours to complete it lol!
changedTutorialThe tutorial has had some tweaks and improvements to it. Firstly, the "build an ammo factory" mission is slightly changed to "you must produce some ammo". The main reason for this change is because I've also significantly reduced the amount of time you have to wait after this objective is done for the enemies to automatically spawn. Without this check, the player might have everything built but no ammo ready!
changedTutorialI also adjusted the map spawning and resources config for the tutorial level to make things a bit more predictable. Finally, I reduced the depth required for building the resources depot as it was a bit too low!
addedHealth BarThe base now has a health bar above it! You'll also now see aliens shoot at it! Hovering over your base now reveals some info too.
changedHealth BarYou can spend oil to repair your base too.
addedDebuggingTo help with debugging and game balance, I've added a number of new messages that will be populated in the log.

It has been an absolutely crazy week for me fixing issues! Thankyou to everyone who has provided valuable feedback!

Warning: I don't recommend replaying yet as you'll need to delete your profile and save file, and then start over! Don't expect saves to be compatible until after the public demo comes out.

The reason I have to do this is because the game is rapidly changing as I prepare it for the upcoming demo, and supporting old saves is not a priority right now. Don't replay unless you're really eager too lol!

You can spend oil to repair your base too.

Management Screens

I wasn't able to finish the management screens in time, but the buttons are there for you to toggle them! These will show vital stats in the next update. For now... they are just empty windows.

Debugging

To help with debugging and game balance, I've added a number of new messages that will be populated in the log.

Bugs

  • Elevator inaccessible errors not going away!

  • Fix the level never ending when your base was destroyed or you ran out of time!

  • Builders sometimes getting stuck waiting for elevators that aren't connected!

  • Building tooltip now shows gold and oil cost when you don't have enough of either.

  • Battle Engineers were not "consuming" ammo when taking it out of the factories!

  • Fix aliens never spawning!

  • Fix the "negative room detection" on the build tool not quite working.

  • Fix defences menu being available too early in the tutorial.

  • Fix some hovering tooltip issues.

  • Bathroom users wait for cleaner to finish before going in to use it!

  • Fix the separation lines in the UI sometimes disappearing on lower resolutions.
