Team Ice Cream VR changes
Welcome to yet another weekly update!
For those new here, we post weekly updates with the goal of being completely transparent with our progress. Comments are open to everyone and we would love to hear your thoughts!
So What's New?
Let's keep up with tradition and start by covering our goals from last week to see how we did:
Plans for Week 14
Task ETA Steam post image Implement customer delivery Week 13 Table shows up-to-date progress along with ETA for active targets, if any.
As you can see, we are running a whole week ahead again. Not only that, we have already secretly started working on next week's task a little! Shhh... Don't tell anyone!
More Details
There isn't much to say, last week went off without a hitch and we now have a nice system in place for vehicles to spawn, arrive at the stop and let out the citizens it carries.
The potential customers exit their vehicle one-by-one, any citizens waiting to leave get in after that and then the vehicle finally drives off.
The system works well and is ready for some more vehicles than just the taxi cab.
Plans for Week 15
| Task | ETA | |
|---|---|---|
| Steam post image | Create 3D models for: suv, minivan and bus | Week 15 |
| Steam post image | Add the new vehicles to the game | Week 15 |
Table shows next week's targets.
Again, not a huge list, but some very important additions. Once we are done with this step, the core game loop is implemented and the game can be played! That's pretty huge and we're very excited! ːsteamhappyː
Of course, it's not a very fun game if you can't do anything with the tips you earn. Work hard and... Then work some more? Not cool. That's what we will start working on in April; upgrades and clothes. That is, after a one week
Vacation!
That's right, week 14 we will be out of the office enjoying the spring weather and some ice cream in the sun! This is a planned vacation, so don't worry, our one week ahead of progress remains.
We will still post our usual Monday update that week to report on the previous week's progress.
That's it for this week!
Want to keep track of our progress? Check out this post on our Steam discussion forums, it has a lot more details on what we hope to accomplish and by when we hope to be done, including monthly targets!
