Gameplay

  • New Retainer: Shirai, Keeper of the Endless Storm; A long-range Mage from Wa'an that requires precise control to unleash massive damage

  • Scrolls have been disabled for today's test to get a feeling on how big the impact on gameplay is

  • Resource Update:

  • Energy and Rage now both have a fixed pool of 100

  • The "Resource Regeneration" stat has been removed, all items now just provide "Resource" instead

  • Resource now increases your Maximum mana, or improves your Energy/Rage generation

  • Energy is no longer generated from basic attacks and random vessel spells, instead it generates over time (faster when out of combat)

  • The Energy costs of many spells have been adjusted accordingly

  • Combat duration has been increased 5 -> 8 seconds (rage decay starts later)

  • Mana now regenerates at a fixed base % of your maximum Mana

  • Emonia now uses Mana instead of Energy

UI

  • A new "additional spell bar" has been added to the UI, right above your main spells

  • Visuals will be finalized later if we decide to make this feature permanent

  • It shows all your active and consumable item spells (and additional spells in the future)

  • It is limited to 6 slots, in the future it will allow you to assign items by dragging them from your inventory

  • This will allow us to properly split the inventory again, in 6 items + 6 consumables
