Repeated intro

Hello everyone! Let me tell you what interesting things have happened lately:

What changed

1 fix4 additions0 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • UI and audio
addedNew PC
addedI now have a new PC. For the past five years, I've been working on an inexpensive gaming laptop, and over time it started to severely limit development.
addedThere are quite a few changes to the game itself, although I'm not showing anything globally new yet. I'm continuing to work on the game's foundation and bringing various systems to a proper state.
fixedWhat was done: • continuing level design; • adjusted colors and post-processing a bit; • added a save system: now you can save and sleep; • added new decals on objects; • added a settings menu; • made the first version of the creature system; • added footstep and jump sounds for different surfaces; • fixed various bugs.
addedOverall, work is progressing actively. I'm currently focusing more on the game's foundation to make it easier to add new content later.
  • New PC

I now have a new PC. For the past five years, I've been working on an inexpensive gaming laptop, and over time it started to severely limit development.

I decided to build myself a powerful computer to work faster on the game and properly test it in different conditions: both on weak hardware and on ultra settings.

The difference is very noticeable. Now everything opens, compiles, and loads in seconds, not minutes. I've been using it for two weeks now and I'm just loving it.

  • Developer Website

I've made my developer website. You can already navigate to the SWOM game section, where I'm gradually launching an interesting service.

The idea is this: you'll be able to suggest tasks, vote for other players' ideas, and track how these tasks move through status columns. Essentially, it's something similar to task tracking for game development, only public.

The site is currently in test mode. I'm still fixing issues, including access problems, but overall you can already visit and see how it looks: "https://wofo-industry.ru/games/swom". What do you think?

  • Game Changes

There are quite a few changes to the game itself, although I'm not showing anything globally new yet. I'm continuing to work on the game's foundation and bringing various systems to a proper state.
