Hello, in this update I'd like to talk a bit about countermeasures in the game.

Strike Force Damocles changes
Your best way to avoid incoming missiles is to just hide behind cover. However if you don't have any nearby or there's just no time to hide, you'll have a few options to avoid getting hit.
Flares have been shown in the early gameplay videos already, they're your go-to defense against heat-seeking missiles.
Radar guided missiles on the other hand aren't affected by flares, tend to have longer ranges and are more dangerous. Luckily you'll have a handy radar warning receiver that will alert you of nearby search radars, as well as missiles launched at you (only the radar guided ones though). It even deploys chaff automatically for you!
When planning your flight you'll have to consider your countermeasures count, it would rather inconvenient to run out of chaff while having to cross areas with heavy radar cover.
You can see the launch warning blinking and chaff in the gif above (unfortunately a bit hard to see thanks to the compression). You can also spot some of the recently implemented loadout options on the wing pylons.
I've also been creating many new assets for the rest of the enemies. I am aiming for hardware that is more era-appropriate for the '90s and is plausible to be present in a gulf war-like scenario.
