Devlog #1 — Reworking the Combat System

So, we’re starting this small devlog to share more about the development process and the game itself. The combat system has always been one of the most important parts of the game.

changedNow, both player and enemy ship hulls will have different levels of protection and specific weak points. Less protected parts will take less damage, while heavily armored areas — which are harder to hit — will take more. Still, even if you miss the target, there will be some minimal damage applied anyway.
addedThe game already has ship upgrades, hull purchases, and other elements that affect your ship — like the crew. In the future, we may add even more mechanics like that. This new flexible combat system gives us the freedom to expand.

The combat system has always been one of the most important parts of the game. What we currently have is simple and casual. That’s why we decided to improve and expand it — to give the player more control over how battles play out, and to make the system more flexible overall.

Now, both player and enemy ship hulls will have different levels of protection and specific weak points. Less protected parts will take less damage, while heavily armored areas — which are harder to hit — will take more. Still, even if you miss the target, there will be some minimal damage applied anyway.
