Today we’re rolling out a major update to our demo in preparation for the upcoming NEXT FEST. We’re still working on a few more features for the festival, but for now we’d like to share this new (and relatively stable) build with you.

What’s new?

  • Extended demo duration to 300 days.

  • Added a galaxy screen with future sectors. Currently only the starting sector is available; the others will unlock at release.

  • Introduced a news system — now you can follow what’s happening across the galaxy. Check it out at any station in the news section.

  • Added a faction domination system within the sector (still in testing, but we aim to refine it by the festival).

  • Reworked enemy ship classes and added more visual variety, so you can easily identify who you’re facing.

  • Added tooltips for enemy ships (hover over an enemy ship to see more details).

  • Tweaked the battle system and related text display. We’re still improving it and plan to deliver a more engaging and expanded combat experience by the festival.

  • Crew members no longer drift alone in space — now you’ll need to hire them at stations, customizing your team to fit your playstyle.

  • Numerous small UI improvements to make the game more comfortable and enjoyable.

  • Added new ships for the Pirate and Zuglu factions.

  • Introduced a new station — the “Mine”, where you can buy Efritium and sell it at other stations for a better price.

  • Trading ships now come in 3 levels, each with different prices and Efritium trading capacities.

  • Quests can now be taken and completed at all stations (except the “Mine”).

  • Space feels less lonely — you’ll now occasionally see ships flying in the background. A small touch, but it adds to the atmosphere.

  • We’ve also added a progress saving system. You can always continue your adventure the next time you play.

But be prepared — if you are defeated, your save slot will be deleted.

Plenty of smaller fixes and adjustments have also been made. We look forward to your feedback and comments! And if you report any bugs you encounter along the way, we’ll be truly grateful.

We’ve also updated our key art and refreshed the design of our Steam page.

Stay tuned and follow the news so you don’t miss anything!
