So one month after the release of survival already! To be honest it was a rocky launch... It had way more bugs and stability issues than anticipated - I am sorry for this and thankful for those who stick to the game still and reported any issues. I made 33 patches and closed 180 issues on the github.
Newcomers to the game also had a hard time with a few of the game mechanics. So the game is a lot better now, but there is still some work to do!
Why did I made Starship EVO? Find out here:
Here is what the survival update bring to the game:
Early game survival:
You start stranded on a planet and must find your way back to orbit.
Mine and harvest resources, craft better gear, and build a hovercraft to explore the surface.
Scale up production with an assembler, arc-furnace, and H2 farm. Meet the growing power demands and design an efficient inventory network.
Build your first spaceship and reach orbit! Explore the starting system to acquire a faster drive and better weapons. Manage fuel and oxygen.
Defeat the pirates blocking the Stargate. The galaxy is now yours to explore!
Make your Mark in a Dangerous Galaxy
Once able to explore space you will be free:
Pick your fights: liberate sectors from pirates in the outer rim, or defeat factions for control toward the core. Come prepared!
Visit space stations to trade goods and take on missions. Build the right ship for the job.
Be the captain: hire crewmembers from several colorful alien races.
Fly seamlessly from orbit to surface, explore planets and asteroid rings. Find your own place in the galaxy!
Here I detail the survival loop more specifically:
I made another post detailing the plan for the first few update concerning early-game, if you would like to discuss and give me feedback:
