SOVL: Fantasy Warfare changes
0.64 is out with some interesting changes to Ranked multiplayer!
Skill Based Match Making is now turned on in Ranked. It will try to match you against players with similar skill (Elo). Works better when there are a lot of people playing. For people at the extremes (high or low) of the bell curve, queue times might be a bit longer. There are a lot of numbers to tweak here, so give me your feedback on how it works for you!
Ranked multiplayer has a new scenario, Scoring Objectives. The scenario is randomly choose, 1/3 chance of one objective, 1/3 chance of two, and 1/3 chance of being a regular pitched battle. Claim objectives by moving a unit into it's zone of influence. If both player have a unit in the zone, the objective is contested. Single objective gives 50 points at end of turn, double gives 25 each. Flyers and fleeing units are not able to claim/contest. Scoring objectives are a good way to encourage aggressive play and get rid of "corner camping"!
Some minor balance changes: City Guard, elf Archers, Imperial Archers, Imperial Crossbows, Imperial Handguns all have max unit size 15 in Warband size armies.
