  • Newbie scaling - Difficulty now adjusts more smoothly for new players, making the first few runs less punishing while you learn the systems

  • Armory purchase counter - Now shows how many times you've purchased each upgrade, so you can easily track your progression at a glance.

🔧 BUG FIXES

  • Aegis Reflector projectiles now correctly damage the player on hit

  • Hive Spitter projectiles now correctly damage the player on hit, and properly apply Corrosive

  • Corrosive damage-over-time now deals its intended damage and scales properly with difficulty

  • Fixed UI sound effects stacking on the level-up screen when creating a new profile

  • After collecting the warp key, all heat will be dissipated over two seconds. This also resolves the issue where picking up the warp key while in Overdrive potentially causing an overheat on the other side.

  • Fixed rare crash that could occur when quitting or restarting during phase transitions and end-of-demo cinematics.

  • Fixed issue where switching from borderless fullscreen to windowed mode would leave the window visually filling the entire screen until the user interacted with it again. The mode change now applies immediately as expected.

  • Fixed a critical issue where adjusting brightness in the settings menu could permanently minimize the game window. Affected players previously had to manually edit config files to recover - apologies to anyone who hit this.

  • Reduced unnecessary window mode transitions when applying display settings (less flicker on most hardware).

🛠️ COMING UP

  • Continuing balance passes, polish, and more cores leading into Steam Next Fest (June 15-22). Full launch June 23.
