Soul Reaper changes
The day has come! Soul Reaper is now out of Early Access!
After 7 months of testing on Early Access and 2 months of beta, Soul Reaper is finally ready to open its vault to fellow reapers of souls!
Here's what you can expect from the game at a glance:
Zelda-style exploration (top-down 2D view)
Pokemon-style monster catching mechanics
Diablo-style loot system
Final Fantasy-style combat (no random encounters)
Path of Exile-style socketing
Disgaea-style number crunching
Unique 3x3 grid party system
As for playtime, here's what you can expect:
First playthrough: 20 hours
New Game Plus: 35 hours
All Steam achievements: 45 hours
Complete all feats: 80 hours
Defeat all special bosses: 100-200 hours
We also have content patches planned for the following 6 months. Generally, you can expect more loot, new soul gears, new bosses, and new vault sections.
On October 30th, you can expect:
The Samurai loot set
New soul gears
Tons of new Steam Achievements
New bosses from the Moon's menu
Generally, if you love old-school (j)RPG, you'll love Soul Reaper.
And if you're thrown off by the minimal number of reviews, it's only because we're a small indie studio with a minimal marketing budget. If you play the game and love it, it would greatly help us and other gamers discover it.
Happy reaping!
See you in the vault!
