Skyrest changes
With Steam Next Fest just around the corner, I'm excited to release a major update for the Skyrest Demo!
This new version expands the adventure with new environments, enemies, combat improvements, and a more polished gameplay experience overall.
New Content
Three New Biomes
Explore three brand-new biomes, each featuring unique enemies, items, hazards, and interactions.
Three New Final Challenges
Each new biome now culminates in its own dedicated challenge map, testing your mastery of combat and traversal.
Twelve New Enemies
Face 12 new enemy types, with four unique foes introduced in each biome.
New Temporary Power-Ups
Weapon Power-Ups
4 new power-ups that summon a powerful Spirit Weapon for a limited time.
Runic Attack Power-Ups
4 new power-ups that grant temporary ranged Runic Attacks.
Combat Improvements
Combat has received a substantial overhaul, making encounters more readable, responsive, and rewarding.
Improved Parry and Uninterruptible Attacks
Parry windows and enemy uninterruptible attacks are now clearer and more consistent, allowing for more skill-based combat.
New Enemy Exhaustion System
Enemies will now become exhausted after performing a certain number of attacks in succession, creating new opportunities to counterattack and regain control of the fight.
Enhanced Combat Feedback
Visual effects and combat indicators have been improved across the board, making impacts, abilities, and enemy actions easier to read during intense battles.
Procedural Generation Improvements
Better Island Generation
The procedural island generation system has been refined to produce more varied, interesting, and consistent runs.
