changedController support is now in-game! There were also some bug fixes and tweaks which are listed further down.
changedRight now the game supports two controller layouts, Xbox and Playstation. You can use other controllers, although they may not work 100% as expected. The game will detect some of your controller input right away, but you’ll still want to select your preferred layout under the controls menu to get all the buttons working correctly. Also, you can use the mouse sensitivity slider in the options menu to adjust the sensitivity of the right joystick.
changedSkin Witch wasn’t designed with controller support in mind, so there are some limitations with the controller input system worth noting:
changedAs noted above, you'll probably need to use your mouse to select your controller preference in the controls menu. After that it should remember your choice.
fixedController input should work for all menus in the game, except for language options. If you need to change the game’s language, you’ll have to select it with your mouse, but you can use your controller for everything else. This will probably be fixed soon.
changedLimited re-mapping. Many of the controller inputs can be remapped, although a few can’t. To re-map buttons, use the input tab on the popup window that comes up when you first launch the game.

There is also an invert option available as well, and you can even invert the mouse if you like.

Limitations

Skin Witch wasn’t designed with controller support in mind, so there are some limitations with the controller input system worth noting:

  • As noted above, you'll probably need to use your mouse to select your controller preference in the controls menu. After that it should remember your choice.

  • Controller input should work for all menus in the game, except for language options. If you need to change the game’s language, you’ll have to select it with your mouse, but you can use your controller for everything else. This will probably be fixed soon.

  • Limited re-mapping. Many of the controller inputs can be remapped, although a few can’t. To re-map buttons, use the input tab on the popup window that comes up when you first launch the game.

  • Menus are navigated using the joysticks. D-pad support may be coming for menu navigation, although it’s not certain.

  • No key prompts. When the game gives you hints on what key to press, it only shows the corresponding mouse/keyboard key, not the controller key.

Tweaks / Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the death screen wouldn't let you load a save

  • Fixed an issue where starting a new game from the death screen left the loading screen up

  • The storage slots now highlight and un-highlight as intended

  • When clicking an item in storage, the ‘Take’ button now highlights in red when you hover on it with your mouse or controller

  • Propane now correctly shows its quantity when stored

  • A blocked door in Mine 3F now correctly says that it’s jammed

  • Maps now show the name of the floor you’re on
