Hey everyone!
We're in the final stretch before the Early Access release!
I've been working a lot this week on new colossal sea creatures, but also on some friendlier ones that may become companions, who knows :)
For this week update, here are a few screenshots of creatures you will encounter in the first few minutes of gameplay.
The Coral Fish:
The School of Fish:
A giant (and anonymous for now) sea creature. You may have to zoom in on the picture, as it's on the faraway island in the middle of the image:
Also, as expected, there will be smaller updates to the demo in the upcoming weeks as I focus 99% of my time on the later in-game content. Here are this week's demo updates (build 0.8.1):
-Added a giant sea creature on top of the first faraway island you see when getting in-game
-Upgraded the Coral Fish model
-Improved the texture of the giant tentacles that are visible on the horizon
-Put most world minerals inside clusters to make it easier to add mineral variety
-Correctly reset new building placement rotation between each build
-Removed a brief underwater sound that was playing on game reload
